Stress Management and Coping Strategies among Indian College Students

Abstract
Stress is an inevitable part of modern student life especially in higher education contexts where academic social financial and personal pressures converge. In India college students experience unique stressors due to intense academic competition career uncertainties cultural expectations and rapid social change. While stress at manageable levels can motivate performance chronic stress often leads to negative outcomes such as anxiety depression burnout and even suicidal tendencies. The ability to manage stress effectively through adaptive coping strategies is thus critical for student well-being and success.
