Abstract
Surrogacy a reproductive arrangement where a surrogate mother bears and gives birth to a child for someone else has received considerable attention and sparked discussion in recent years. This study conducts a thorough analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of surrogacy including its legal ethical and social aspects. The main advantages include assisting individuals or couples facing infertility or same-sex couples in achieving their preferred family structure as well as the opportunity for surrogates to provide an important service while being compensated. Nevertheless surrogacy also entails significant obstacles and apprehensions such as intricate legal issues with parental rights possible exploitation of surrogate mothers and ethical quandaries linked to the commercialisation of reproduction. This study seeks to provide an impartial assessment of surrogacy by examining case cases and existing research. It tries to emphasise the potential benefits of surrogacy while also addressing the crucial ethical and fairness concerns that must be taken into account.
