An Analysis of the Infeasibility of Implementing Digital Microfinance in India

This study provides a conceptual examination of the difficulties involved in adopting digital microfinance in India a nation characterized by a large and varied socio-economic environment. Although digital technology has made remarkable progress and financial inclusion projects have expanded digital microfinance encounters many obstacles that impede its efficacy and scope. This paper explores the socio-economic infrastructural and regulatory variables that contribute to the challenges faced by digital microfinance in India. The main topics examined include the lack of digital skills among rural communities insufficient internet and mobile network coverage and the regulatory framework that may not adequately cater to the specific requirements of microfinance companies. The study seeks to get a thorough knowledge of the difficulties in efficiently implementing digital microfinance in India by analyzing current literature and case studies. It also proposes possible areas for policy intervention and future research.
