An Analysis of the Significance of Swami Vivekananda in Indian Philosophy

Abstract
Swami Vivekananda (1863–1902) a towering figure in modern Indian philosophy played a transformative role in bridging classical Indian thought and contemporary social cultural and spiritual paradigms. His philosophy rooted in Vedanta and influenced by the socio-political context of colonial India emphasized self-realization human potential service to humanity and the unity of all religions. This study critically examines the significance of Vivekananda’s contributions to Indian philosophy exploring his reinterpretation of Vedantic concepts advocacy for social reform and engagement with global intellectual traditions.
