Abstract
Mahatma Gandhi and B.R. Ambedkar two towering figures in India’s political and social history played transformative roles in shaping the foundations and evolution of Indian democracy. This research examines their contributions through an analytical and historical lens highlighting how their philosophies activism and institutional interventions influenced democratic principles social justice and governance in India. Employing a historical-analytical methodology the study draws upon primary sources including speeches writings legal drafts and personal correspondence alongside secondary sources such as scholarly articles monographs and contemporary analyses.
