An Investigation of Students’ Understanding of HIV/AIDS

Abstract
HIV/AIDS remains a critical global public health issue affecting millions worldwide and disproportionately impacting adolescents and young adults. Despite decades of awareness campaigns and educational initiatives gaps in knowledge misconceptions and stigmatizing attitudes persist among students which influence preventive behaviors and risk perception. This study investigates students’ understanding of HIV/AIDS focusing on their knowledge of transmission routes prevention strategies symptoms and social implications as well as their attitudes toward individuals living with the disease. The research also examines the role of educational programs cultural norms and social influences in shaping students’ understanding.
