Biomedical waste management has emerged as a critical concern globally and particularly in India where rapid expansion of healthcare facilities has significantly increased the generation of hazardous waste. Improper handling storage treatment and disposal of biomedical waste pose serious risks to public health occupational safety and environmental sustainability. This research paper investigates the governance structures regulatory frameworks and management practices associated with biomedical waste in India analyzing the roles of government agencies private organizations and healthcare institutions.
