ANALYSING THE IMPACT OF ANXIETY ON STUDENTS

Abstract
Anxiety is a pervasive psychological condition that affects a significant portion of students worldwide influencing their academic performance social interactions mental health and overall well-being. Recent trends indicate that academic pressure competitive environments social media exposure and personal challenges exacerbate anxiety levels among students across primary secondary and higher education institutions. This research examines the multifaceted impact of anxiety on students considering cognitive emotional behavioral and physiological dimensions. The study employs a mixed-method approach combining quantitative surveys with standardized anxiety scales and qualitative interviews to capture the subjective experiences of students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds. Furthermore it investigates the correlation between anxiety levels and academic performance motivation attendance and participation in extracurricular activities. The research also explores coping mechanisms institutional support and intervention strategies that mitigate the negative consequences of anxiety. By systematically analyzing the underlying causes manifestations and consequences of student anxiety the study aims to inform educators counselors and policymakers about effective measures to enhance student well-being academic achievement and mental health resilience.
