Abstract
Robotics applications are becoming more crucial in modern scientific environments particularly in the manufacturing and processing industries. Despite the significant role that robots play in the operations of many enterprises the high installation costs and maintenance issues prevent them from being used in their respective sectors. Furthermore there is a need for skilled workers and the imperative to oversee and control the operation of the robot. Therefore the robot named EIErobo has been constructed and controlled by using IC555 in monostable mode and infrared sensors. This robot has the option of operating in linear mode. The pick and place robot may be used in any sector for which it is specifically intended. Furthermore the results of the EIE ROBO have been examined using MATLAB revealing its higher efficiency compared to the existing robot. Furthermore in comparison to other choices its installation cost was found to be less expensive.
