This research examines Indian democracy through a philosophical lens exploring foundational principles ethical considerations and normative frameworks that inform democratic governance institutional functioning and citizen engagement. The study critically evaluates how philosophical traditions including Gandhian ethics Ambedkarite social justice liberal democratic theory and deliberative democracy shape India’s democratic ethos and influence policy-making civic participation and institutional accountability.
