Contemporary Challenges and Future Outlook for Efficient Governance in India

Abstract
Efficient governance is a cornerstone of socio-economic development political stability and democratic sustainability in India. Over the last few decades India has undergone profound structural political and socio-economic transformations that have both presented opportunities and posed significant challenges for governance. This study explores the contemporary challenges to efficient governance in India including bureaucratic inefficiencies corruption policy implementation gaps socio-economic inequalities technological adaptation and political fragmentation. It further examines the future outlook for governance by considering institutional reforms digital governance participatory policy-making and evidence-based administrative strategies.
