Credit card authorization renewals represent one of the most critical operational mechanisms in modern digital payments ensuring uninterrupted transaction processing fraud prevention credit-limit continuity and customer satisfaction. As global financial systems become increasingly automated and interconnected banks and card networks rely on authorization renewal procedures to validate accounts confirm customer identity and update transactional permissions. This study explores the structural technological regulatory and behavioural dimensions of credit card authorization renewals examining how the renewal cycle influences payment security merchant risk management customer experience and financial-system stability. Drawing on literature published up to 2018 the research highlights the importance of automated renewal systems issuer–acquirer coordination risk scoring tokenization and compliance frameworks in managing renewal accuracy. The analysis reveals that timely and accurate authorization renewals prevent transaction declines reduce fraud vulnerability enhance merchant trust and ensure consistent financial access for customers. Ultimately the study argues that credit card authorization renewals are not merely technical protocols but central financial instruments that sustain the global payment ecosystem.
