However the rapid pace of urbanization and development poses significant challenges to the preservation of this heritage. This paper explores the complexities of cultural heritage conservation in India focusing on the conflict between developmental needs and preservation efforts. By analyzing policy frameworks case studies and international best practices the study highlights the urgent need for a balanced approach to safeguard India’s cultural assets while fostering economic growth.
