Rapid prototyping (RP) technologies have greatly transformed the die manufacturing sector by substantially expediting the design and production processes. This study examines the incorporation of fast prototyping techniques into die manufacturing with a focus on the advantages of improved design flexibility decreased production time and cost-effectiveness. The use of several rapid prototyping processes such as additive manufacturing CNC machining and laser sintering is explored in order to create accurate prototypes and working dies. The report showcases specific instances where prototypes have shown enhanced precision and efficiency resulting in more efficient manufacturing processes and optimised production timetables. The paper also addresses the difficulties and restrictions related to RP technologies as well as possible remedies and future research initiatives. Through the use of Rapid Prototyping (RP) manufacturers may attain accelerated development cycles minimise material wastage and enhance innovation capabilities eventually revolutionising the die manufacturing industry.
