By appealing to the public and influencing different social and political institutions populist populism in India has grown into a powerful political force moulding the countrys political scene. This research delves into the influence and characteristics of populist movements in India specifically looking at how these groups engaged with various institutional entities including the media judiciary and legislative. The article shows how populist politicians use public opinion to question existing institutions and norms by examining important case studies and election patterns. It delves at the ways populism may invigorate democratic participation while also endangering established institutions. In addition the research delves into the ways populist discourse interacts with Indias complex sociopolitical fabric and impacts policymaking and governance. This study seeks to provide a sophisticated analysis of populisms impact on modern Indian politics and its wider consequences for democratic engagement via this approach.
