Disparities Against the Transgender Community and Government Efforts

Abstract
The transgender community has faced systemic discrimination marginalization and socio-economic exclusion across the world with India being no exception. Despite the legal recognition of transgender identities and government initiatives aimed at their welfare disparities persist in areas such as education healthcare employment and social inclusion. This research paper explores the socio-economic and legal challenges faced by the transgender community in India the effectiveness of governmental policies and the gaps that need to be addressed. By examining historical perspectives legal frameworks and lived experiences this study evaluates the extent to which government interventions have improved the lives of transgender individuals and where further reforms are needed.
