Domestic violence against women is a pervasive social psychological and public health issue that affects individuals families and communities globally. It encompasses physical sexual emotional and economic abuse often occurring within intimate or familial relationships. This study examines the nature causes and repercussions of domestic violence against women highlighting the legal social and health dimensions of the problem. It explores how societal norms gender inequalities cultural practices and systemic inadequacies perpetuate violence and hinder effective interventions.
