Abstract
Education has emerged as one of the most significant instruments of social transformation and youth empowerment in contemporary India. Rapid economic development technological advancement globalization and changing social structures have reshaped educational opportunities and aspirations among young people. The present study examines the relationship between education social change and youth empowerment from a sociological perspective. It explores how educational expansion has influenced social mobility gender equality employment opportunities political participation and individual development among Indian youth. The study also investigates emerging challenges such as educational inequality digital divides skill gaps and unemployment that continue to affect the empowerment process. By analyzing contemporary trends and societal transformations the research highlights the role of education in fostering inclusive development and strengthening democratic participation. The findings suggest that education remains a crucial catalyst for social change and youth empowerment although structural inequalities continue to influence educational outcomes and opportunities.
