Examining Dr. B.R. Ambedkars views on religion this research seeks to understand how his critical analysis of religious institutions contributes to the maintenance of social injustice. Pioneering Indian thinker B. R. Ambedkar saw religion as more than just a set of beliefs he saw it as a framework intricately linked to political and social systems. This analysis surveys previous works that have discussed Ambedkars criticisms of Hinduism his support for Buddhism and his larger ideas for religious change. This research examines Ambedkars writings and academic interpretations to show how he believed religion could be a force for good when it was in harmony with egalitarian and justice ideals. Also included in the article is Ambedkars religious reforms and their stated goal of emancipating oppressed groups from the caste system. The results show that Ambedkars theories are still relevant to todays debates over religion and social justice.
