Overlooked Women Revolutionaries in India: A Reanalysis

Women have played an integral role in Indias struggle for independence and socio-political movements yet their contributions remain largely overshadowed by male revolutionaries in mainstream historical narratives. While figures like Rani Lakshmibai and Sarojini Naidu are celebrated many women who made significant sacrifices and contributions remain overlooked. This research paper aims to reanalyze the contributions of lesser-known women revolutionaries in India shedding light on their role in armed struggles nonviolent movements and intellectual activism. Through archival research and historical re-examination this study highlights their resilience challenges and the need for their inclusion in mainstream historical discourse.
