Pride and Prejudices Love Relationship
Author(s): Anamika Rohilla

Abstract
The social criticism and storyline of Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen revolve on love and romantic relationships. Elizabeth Bennet and Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcys developing relationship is the central centre of the narrative which examines many kinds of love via its characters. The central theme of the book is the contrast between two kinds of relationships namely the real and emotional link between Elizabeth and Darcy and the shallow and mercenary marriage between Mr. Collins and Charlotte Lucas. Society norms and individual pride contribute to the early biases and misconceptions that shape Elizabeth and Darcys relationship. They eventually achieve a satisfying relationship based on genuine understanding and equality as they overcome these obstacles which deepens their mutual love and respect. Austen argues for partnerships based on respect and real connection rather than social convenience or financial gain via these diverse depictions of love which she uses to explore how social status personal character and moral integrity may impact love.
