Abstract
The importance of prioritising security has been well recognised in the scientific community. It is important to integrate it right from the outset of the development life cycle. The requirements document serves as the foundation around which the whole program is built. This article examines Secure Requirements Engineering as a crucial approach that may significantly improve the security of software systems. During the conceptual phase of the software development life cycle (SDLC) we provide a set of optimal methods for carrying out secure requirements engineering tasks.
