Sexual Harassment in the Workplace

Abstract
Workplace sexual harassment is a pervasive issue that undermines the fundamental principles of equality safety and professionalism. Although societies and institutions have made considerable progress in establishing rights-based frameworks and policies that promote gender equity sexual harassment remains a persistent challenge across various employment sectors. This research paper examines the prevalence patterns systemic causes and consequences of workplace sexual harassment while analyzing the legal frameworks institutional responses and evolving prevention mechanisms. Sexual harassment in the professional environment is not only a violation of ethical standards but also a breach of fundamental human rights. It threatens the dignity safety and autonomy of employees particularly women who experience disproportionate exposure due to gender stereotypes unequal workplace power structures and limited socio-legal awareness.
