Social Inequality and Access to Quality Education in India
Author(s): Purshotum kumarAbstract
Education is widely acknowledged as both a fundamental right and a critical driver of social and economic mobility. In India however access to quality education remains deeply unequal shaped by historical hierarchies of caste class gender and region. Despite constitutional guarantees government initiatives and significant expansion of educational institutions structural inequalities persist across primary secondary and higher education. These disparities undermine the democratizing potential of education reproducing cycles of poverty and exclusion for marginalized communities.
