STUDENTS’ OPINION TOWARDS RELEVANCE OF STUDENTS’ UNION IN THE UNIVERSITY

Abstract
Every nation has a bright future in the hands of its youth. They have the capacity and right to think about the welfare of their country. If they will use their capacity and rights for the progress of the nation they will change the face of their nation. Students’ unions in India have built a complicated legacy of student politics. Most of these unions are politically linked and actively participate in any current crisis particularly those involving students. The present study aims to study the relevance of students’ union in the opinion of students of the university and comparison of students’ opinion towards the relevance of the students’ union with respect to their gender educational level faculty and university. The tool used by the researcher was an Opinionnaire Scale for opinion of students towards the relevance of students’ union in the university. The study reveals that the relevance of students’ union in the universities was found to be relevant in terms of students’ opinion.
