India’s aspirational journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047 encapsulated in the vision of Viksit Bharat has initiated one of the most transformative narratives in modern developmental discourse. With a population of over 1.4 billion a dynamic economy and diverse social challenges Indias developmental trajectory requires a coordinated strategy rooted in sustainability governance reform inclusive growth and technological advancement. The conceptual architecture of this vision is elegantly elaborated in the seminal work by Chopra and Bisht (2024) which explores Viksit Bharat as a multidimensional development framework encompassing economic progress social welfare environmental resilience and governance transformation. The term Viksit Bharat is not just a policy slogan it represents a holistic and long-term developmental commitment—a blueprint for a self-reliant sustainable and inclusive India. At its core the framework stresses the synergistic interaction between policy design stakeholder participation governance transparency and renewable resource management (Chopra & Bisht 2024). As India marches toward the centenary of its independence the need for academically grounded policy-oriented and future-ready strategies becomes ever more urgent. Chopra and Bisht’s study serves as a foundational document offering not only a panoramic view of India’s strengths and weaknesses but also practical roadmaps for moving forward.
