Syed Ahmed Khan’s Role in Muslim Reform in India

Abstract
Syed Ahmed Khan (1817–1898) was a pivotal figure in the socio-religious and educational reform of the Muslim community in India during the 19th century. His contributions encompassed educational reform advocacy for modern scientific knowledge social upliftment and political engagement within the colonial context. This research examines his reformist ideology strategies and enduring influence on Muslim intellectual and socio-political development. Employing a historical-analytical methodology the study analyzes primary sources including Syed Ahmed Khan’s writings speeches letters and contemporary accounts as well as secondary scholarly interpretations monographs and modern research articles.
