A constant fight for honesty and fair play in athletic competitions is mirrored in the evolution of anti-doping protocols. Beginning with simple methods used in the early 20th century and progressing to more complex procedures in the present day this overview follows the history of anti-doping tactics. The evolution of several kinds of doping agents like as hormones anabolic steroids and stimulants has been met with ever stricter rules. Notable events include the creation of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) the introduction of thorough testing procedures and the founding of the Medical Commission of the International Olympic Committee. Future prospects in anti-doping techniques to guarantee fair play in sports are explored in the article which also discusses the obstacles encountered in preventing doping such as the ongoing development of drugs and methods employed by athletes.
