The Changing Role of Men in Domestic Work

Abstract
The role of men in domestic work has undergone significant transformation in recent decades due to evolving gender norms economic shifts and changing family structures. Traditionally domestic labor was considered a woman’s responsibility with men focusing on external employment. However increasing female workforce participation greater awareness of gender equality and socio-cultural changes have challenged these conventional divisions of labor. This paper explores the shifting role of men in domestic work analyzing its historical context contemporary trends societal reactions and future implications. By examining case studies policy changes and media representations this research assesses the extent of male involvement in household responsibilities and the barriers that continue to hinder equitable distribution of domestic labor.
