The correlation between economic growth and the degradation of the environment in India.

Abstract
Indias economic growth has been characterised by notable progress in industrialisation urbanisation and infrastructural development resulting in enhancements in living standards and economic stability. Nevertheless this expansion has resulted in significant ecological consequences. The rapid proliferation of industrial operations and heightened demand have intensified problems such as air and water contamination deforestation and depletion of biodiversity. This study investigates the correlation between economic expansion and environmental deterioration in India emphasising the compromises between economic progress and ecological preservation. The text examines the impact of industrial policy urban development and resource exploitation on the environment. It also investigates possible approaches to achieve sustainable growth. The research emphasises the need of implementing comprehensive policies that effectively harmonise economic goals with environmental preservation in order to guarantee sustainable prosperity and ecological well-being.
