Author(s): Dr. Vimal Joshi

Abstract
Inadequate sanitation has substantial financial consequences for women affecting their economic security and general well-being. Poor sanitation facilities often result in heightened health problems including urinary tract infections reproductive tract infections and gastrointestinal disorders. These health issues may lead to increased medical expenses and decreased productivity as a consequence of sickness which has a greater impact on women. Moreover women frequently bear the responsibility of handling inadequate sanitation and the associated health problems which may lead to diminished economic prospects and heightened financial stress. The economic ramifications extend beyond individual homes influencing community-level economic progress and intensifying gender disparities. This article examines the many financial impacts of inadequate sanitation on women emphasising the need of specific measures to enhance sanitation infrastructure and tackle the related health and economic difficulties.
