AbstractIndia as the world’s largest democracy has undergone significant transformations since its independence in 1947 marked by the establishment of a parliamentary system constitutional safeguards and federal governance structures. Over the decades Indian democracy has been tested by multiple factors including socio-economic inequalities political polarization regional aspirations communal tensions corruption and challenges arising from technological and media influence.
