The Future of Democracy in India

Abstract
India has a long history of democratic rule and a complex social and political landscape this article looks at those factors and more to determine the countrys democratic future. As it deals with modern problems like political polarisation economic inequality and social inequality it examines the possibilities and threats that Indian democracy faces. Taking into account both internal and external forces this article examines how democratic institutions civil society and the media have shaped the democratic landscape. The papers goal is to shed light on the future of Indian democracy by critically reviewing current trends and advancements in the field.
