The Impact of Globalization on Hinduism

Abstract
Globalization characterized by intensified transnational interactions economic integration technological advancement and cultural exchange has transformed social religious and cultural landscapes globally. Hinduism one of the oldest and most diverse religious traditions has encountered profound changes due to globalizing processes especially in the late twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. The interaction between Hinduism and globalization has prompted both challenges and opportunities reshaping religious practices institutional structures doctrinal interpretations community engagement and the transmission of beliefs across geographies. Prior to 2021 scholars have explored the multifaceted impacts of globalization on Hinduism noting shifts in ritual practices commodification of religious symbols diaspora dynamics reinterpretation of scriptures and the emergence of new religious movements that address global audiences.
