Abstract
The rapid expansion of social media platforms has altered the dynamics of political mobilization and civic involvement worldwide. This research examines the impact of social media on political involvement activism and engagement in democratic processes. Social media has created an accessible and participatory platform for political debate reducing conventional obstacles to entry and allowing individuals to organize articulate viewpoints and hold institutions responsible. This study employs a mixed-methods approach including case studies and surveys to elucidate the influence of social media in enhancing political movements moulding public opinion and promoting civic engagement. It also tackles issues related to disinformation echo chambers and the ethical ramifications of digital political participation. While social media promotes political mobilization its enduring impact on the quality of civic engagement and democratic results remains a subject of debate according to the findings. These findings enhance comprehension of the changing function of digital media in contemporary political environments.
