In modern India these principles have found resonance within contemporary political frameworks. For instance Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of non-violence and civil disobedience which played a pivotal role in India’s independence movement drew heavily from Jain and Hindu teachings of ahimsa. This abstract explores how Indian knowledge systems provide a rich philosophical foundation for understanding and navigating contemporary social and political challenges. By analyzing their influence on key figures movements and policies this study highlights the relevance of IKS in shaping modern democratic and socio-political ideologies.
