Abstract
Domestic abuse is a significant human rights concern especially affecting women on a global scale. This article examines the overlap between human rights and gender equality in relation to domestic violence examining the structural and cultural elements that sustain the cycle of abuse. This study analyses global human rights frameworks and their efficacy in tackling domestic abuse while emphasising the obstacles and difficulties encountered by women in their pursuit of justice and safety. The article also examines the impact of legislative changes support networks and public attitudes on reducing domestic violence and advancing womens rights. The article seeks to provide practical suggestions for improving safeguards and support systems for victims of domestic abuse by conducting a thorough examination of existing policies case studies and statistical information.
