Abstract
Artificial Intelligence has emerged as one of the most transformative technological developments in the modern educational environment significantly influencing the structure functioning and ethical framework of higher education institutions across the world. The rapid integration of AI-based technologies such as automated assessment systems intelligent tutoring platforms predictive analytics virtual learning assistants facial recognition attendance systems and generative AI tools has changed the traditional understanding of teaching learning academic evaluation and institutional governance. While these technological advancements have improved accessibility efficiency and personalization within higher education they have simultaneously raised serious ethical concerns related to academic integrity privacy intellectual ownership data surveillance algorithmic bias transparency digital inequality and the changing role of educators in the learning process. The ethical dimensions of Artificial Intelligence have become increasingly important because universities are no longer merely centers of knowledge production but are gradually becoming digitally managed systems driven by data and automation. The present study explores the role of Artificial Intelligence in reshaping higher education ethics by examining how AI technologies influence academic values educational practices teacher-student relationships institutional accountability and the moral responsibilities of educational stakeholders. The paper further highlights the opportunities and ethical risks associated with AI integration in universities and discusses the necessity of creating balanced ethical policies that preserve human values while embracing technological innovation. Through a conceptual and analytical approach the study aims to understand the evolving relationship between Artificial Intelligence and ethical decision-making in higher education and emphasizes the need for responsible transparent and inclusive educational technology frameworks for the future.
