The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Social Sciences Research

This paper examines the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in social sciences research highlighting its applications benefits and challenges in the contemporary academic landscape up to 2025. AI has become a powerful tool for analyzing large datasets identifying patterns and enabling predictive insights in fields such as sociology political science economics psychology and education. The integration of AI into social sciences has expanded methodological possibilities allowing scholars to address complex social problems with greater precision. At the same time the use of AI raises concerns related to ethics bias accountability and the human dimensions of knowledge production. This study reviews existing literature explores real-world applications and considers the implications of AI for inclusivity and equity in research. It concludes that while AI enhances the scope of social sciences its potential must be balanced with critical reflection and ethical safeguards to ensure responsible knowledge creation.
