Youth Entrepreneurship Through Digital Skill Platforms

Abstract
Youth entrepreneurship through digital skill platforms has emerged as one of the most powerful drivers of economic transformation in the twenty-first century. The rapid expansion of digital technologies online learning systems and platform-based business ecosystems has created unprecedented opportunities for young individuals to acquire new skills access global markets and develop innovative business ideas with comparatively low financial risk. This research paper examines how digital skill platforms are enabling a new wave of youth-led entrepreneurial ventures by redefining access to knowledge resources networks and markets. The study explores the critical relationship between digital skilling innovation entrepreneurial motivation and sustainable business growth among youth in both urban and rural settings. It also evaluates the role of digital tools in lowering traditional entry barriers into business such as capital access market information business training and mentorship. By analyzing key global and Indian trends the paper highlights how platforms such as Coursera Udemy Skill India FutureSkills Prime YouTube Learning and digital freelancing portals have reshaped the entrepreneurial ecosystem for young people. The abstract further identifies the major challenges that restrict the full potential of digital skill-driven entrepreneurship including digital divide inconsistent quality of training limited employability alignment and lack of institutional support. The study concludes that digital skill platforms when integrated with policy interventions industry participation youth incubation programs and financial assistance can significantly expand the entrepreneurial capabilities of the youth population and contribute to inclusive economic development.
